In 2007, Tina Bommarito-Kent turned her back on the daily grind of Corporate America to pursue a full-time writing career. This leap of faith illustrates her belief that following your passion and using your gift is essential to the human experience. It was through this act of faith that led Tina back to college to hone her craft and gain confidence as a writer. Having reaped the benefits of many selfless and patient mentors, she experienced tremendous personal, intellectual, and professional growth.
Tina has been the recipient of several writing awards from both the Liberal Arts Network for Development and League for Innovation for her essays “Ending Life” and “Three Boxes.” She’s also earned recognition for her poem “Feeling It.”
A regular contributor of poetry and fiction for The Tridge, an arts and culture magazine, Tina has published four works of poetry, essay, and fiction. She is also the owner of Write Creations, a professional writing service that offers copywriting, editing, proofreading, and manuscript layout to corporate and individual clients.
In 2009, Tina was approached by a former high school classmate and co-founder of Beacon Media, Michael McCleary. As the executive producer of the deeply inspiring documentary, An Anything But Ordinary Journey, Mike found himself in need of a co-author for a film inspired book. She happily agreed to work with Mike, as they’ve discovered a shared passion for using their respective gifts to encourage, inspire, and motivate people to seek passionate and purposeful lives.
Strongly identifying with those individuals who are highlighted as “ordinary people leading extraordinary lives,” Tina is excited to share their stories, as well as her own, to inspire readers and encourage them to lead the lives they were destined for.
